For the second year running, Goût de France is set to celebrate the delights of French gastronomy in various global locations, including here in the Fragrant Harbour. Taking place worldwide next Monday 21st March, more than 1500 chefs on five continents are expected to join the event, while dinners served simultaneously in participating restaurants will apparently ‘honour the merits of French cuisine, its capacity for innovation, and its values: sharing, enjoying, and respecting the principles of high-quality, environmentally responsible cuisine.’
That’s a lofty ideal but also a great excuse – as if any were needed – to experience some sensational cuisine at participating restaurants in Hong Kong, while 5% of any proceeds will go to local NGOs promoting health and the environment.
